Creatine
Creatine is a solid ingredient of muscles. This chemical substance is synthetized inside body by using components mainly from fish and meat and then used as a building material for muscles. Creatine also plays a crucial role in chemical processes during muscle contraction and stretch. Creatine is widely used by athletes to improve their performance. However, creatine directly causes general weight gain not muscle mass gain because of possible water retention. According to scientifical knowledge there are positive effects of creatine use (e.g. increased brain efficiency in people takin creatine occasionally). However, some negative effects are also suspected to occur after long-term using. Unfortunatelly this is still not well proved by investigations.
